Analysis of Simply Supported Plate subjected to Bi-axial and Uni-axial Bending using Classical Plate Theory and First Order Shear Deformation Theory

Analysis of simply supported plated was performed using both Classical Plate Theory and First Order Shear Deformation Theory. The critical load of the plates subjected to uniaxial and biaxial loadings are tried to be evaluated. Different plate types are investigated such isotropic, orthotropic and laminated. The suitability of the above two theories were checked for different aspect ratios and the range at which both the theories converges were also investigated.
